Aidan Hill, at 30 years old and using they/them pronouns, represents a new wave of leadership poised to guide Berkeley towards a future of inclusivity, sustainability, and resilience. Born in Fontana, CA, and a proud resident of Berkeley since 2016, Aidan's journey from Riverside City College to earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley showcases a steadfast commitment to public service and community advocacy.

As a communications specialist deeply invested in Berkeley’s Southside neighborhood, Aidan's work spans environmentalism, human rights, and the betterment of community well-being. Their tenure as Vice-Chair for Berkeley's Homeless Commission saw significant legislative advancements, emphasizing the protection of vulnerable populations and strategic urban planning amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Aidan's historic candidacy in 2020 as the youngest mayoral candidate and the first legally non-binary candidate for public office in the U.S. underlines a groundbreaking commitment to diversity, equity, and representation.

Currently, as a Clinical Health Worker and an active member of East Bay Food Not Bombs, Aidan applies their expertise in consensus-based decision-making, ecological wisdom, and social justice to advocate for a healthier, more equitable Berkeley. Their intent to pursue a Ph.D. in urban planning at UC Berkeley further reflects an unwavering dedication to shaping sustainable urban environments that cherish and protect every resident's rights and dignity.
