Toward a Better Berkeley
for All of Us
Meet Aidan Hill
For Southside. For Berkeley. For all of us.
I’m Aidan Hill. I’m running for Berkeley City Council to make sure Southside and the broader community remain stable, livable, and prepared for what’s ahead.
I’ve lived in Berkeley since 2016. I’ve organized in this community, served as Vice Chair of the Berkeley Homeless Commission during COVID-19, and worked directly with residents through public service and mutual aid. Today, I work as a Clinical Health Worker and volunteer with East Bay Food Not Bombs, supporting neighbors through direct service.
I’ve seen how decisions made at City Hall show up on the ground, in housing stability, access to public space, and whether basic services actually work. That’s where this campaign starts.
Berkeley needs structured growth. Housing should be added near transit and campus, but in a way that improves affordability and protects neighborhood stability over time. Public land should remain a shared asset, with decisions made transparently and with long-term access in mind. As the city grows, infrastructure and services need to keep pace, clean streets, functional systems, and accessible public space are baseline expectations, not afterthoughts.
Since my initial run for City Council in 2018, I have pushed for a more accessible and accountable local government. That hasn’t changed. Residents deserve clear decisions, measurable outcomes, and a city that follows through.
This campaign is grounded in a simple principle: change with structure.
